ABOUT OUR WORKSHOP
LEEM-PEEM is a biennial meeting reviewing the status of surface microscopies that employ low energy electrons. The meeting promotes and disseminates applications of surface microscopies such as LEEM, PEEM, SPLEEM, SPELEEM, XPEEM and related techniques to a broad audience of interested scientists.
The workshop highlights the most recent scientific advances as well as instrumental developments. Topics will cover surfaces, thin films, organic films, surface chemistry, magnetism, time resolved methods, instrumental advances and novel applications of LEEM and PEEM to other subject areas.

Córdoba is situated in the interior of Andalusia in the Southern part of Spain. This thousand-year-old city, which has the World Heritage designation, is a living legacy of the different cultures that settled there throughout its history. Not many places in the world can say they have been the capital of Hispania under the Roman Empire, and capital of the Umayyad Caliphate. This splendor can be seen in that Córdoba is a city with an impressive cultural and monumental patrimony, in part due to its strategic position, near the River Guadalquivir, which was formerly navigable.
The UNESCO recognised in 1994 the universal importance of Córdoba’s historic legacy, and extended the title of World Heritage Site not only to the Mosque-Cathedral, but also to all the streets and buildings around it.
The 12th edition of Leem-Peem congress will be held in the campus of the University of Córdoba.
